Trying the Monday This & That Thing

I'm not a very consistent blogger, so I don't know how this will work for me, and I'm going on vacation soon, but I'm going to give it a go for this week. But I'm sure my buddy, Tyranny, will cheer me on (tyrannically, no doubt).

Anarchy, on the other hand, just lets me do what I want.

Since I hadn't posted goals for last week, I could slide and not report anything on that, but I am happy that I finished up my February Everday Embroidery and got the gridlines marked for March's work/play. And last night I started embroidering the lines and filling in a few blocks with pendants.

I also got some inspiration by attending a quilt trunk show hosted by a rather small quilt guild in our nearby town. Besides drooling over the gorgeously bright colors and cool patterns, I really liked how the presenter, Greg Barner, made the backs of his quilts just as gorgeous as the fronts. Sometimes you couldn't tell which was which.

So, armed with fresh inspiration, here are my goals:

Homemaking
๐Ÿ Type up 4 recipes per day Tuesday - Friday.

๐Ÿ  Design living room bookshelves

๐Ÿ  Experiment with dehydrating bananas

๐Ÿ  On Saturday prepare veg tray and bake cookies for church shared lunch

๐Ÿ  Continue indoor salad gardening till Wed, then shut down for vacation

๐Ÿ  Find some gluten-free cookies/muffin recipes to try

Crafting/Quilting
๐Ÿงต Alter daughter's pants

๐Ÿงต Get caught up on Everyday Embroidery

๐Ÿงต Work on Scrappy Leader/Ender

๐Ÿงต Evaulate time required to make a dress for myself; possibly do it

๐Ÿงต Choose a recipe for soapmaking and make sure I have the ingredients

Serving Others

๐Ÿ’— Pray more diligently about so many things

๐Ÿ’—Write letters to A.L. and T.L.

๐Ÿ’— Choose specific place(s) to send quilt tops (Jo's Country Junction has a list.)

Self-education
๐Ÿ“š Continue studies in seed-saving and heirloom gardening - The New Heirloom Garden - Ellen Ecker Ogden, Edible Landscaping - Rosalind Creasy, Saving Our Seeds - Bevin Cohen, The Heirloom Life Gardener - Jere & Emilee Gettle

๐Ÿ“š Buy a copy of  No-Waste Kitchen Gardening - Katie Elzer-Peters

๐Ÿ“š Continue reading Reading the Bible with Rabbi Jesus - Lois Tverberg

๐Ÿ“š Determine when to start indoor seedlings

Though I'm posting a day late, I don't really start my personal week till Tuesdays anyhow because Mondays are homeschool co-op days.

So, let's see how this goes...
