Monday This & That After Vacation

We had a great time "yondering" some of the eastern states, seeing family, historical sites like D.C. (crazy crowded!),

Jameston (first English settlement in America),

Yorktown (site of both Revolutionary and Civil Wars battles),

fascinating and beautiful nature in West Virginia,

and were amused by the legend of Mothman.

We finished up at our alma mater, Cedarville University (College only in our day), where we visited the waterfally at which we got engaged, reconnected with college friends, and visited our nephews/cousins.

And now we're back in the land of snow, which is somewhat disappointing, but we're so glad to be home. "Be it ever so humble (and snowy), there's no place like home."

So, since I got the laundry sorted so my sweet daughter can wash it (it's her tightly held ministry to the family), now I can figure out what needs doing this week.

Homemaking

๐Ÿ  Make saurkraut

๐Ÿ  Type 4 recipes/day

๐Ÿ  Restart indoor salad gardening, kombucha-making, sprouting

๐Ÿ  Bake sourdough Monday & Friday

๐Ÿ  Care for vacationing nephew's cat

๐Ÿ  Deep clean & organize pantry areas

Yardening

๐ŸŒฟ Research which seedlings to start & do it if possible

๐ŸŒฟ Plan the gardens & berry patch better.

Crafting/Sewing

๐Ÿงต Get those pants altered already!

๐Ÿงต Finish March OMG

๐Ÿงต Plan April OMG

๐Ÿงต Choose a recipe for soapmaking and make sure I have the ingredients

๐Ÿงต Make summer dress that's been cut out for too long

๐Ÿงต Mend apron

๐Ÿงต Catch up on Everyday Embroidery which did not go with me on vacation

๐Ÿงต Continue unrushed knitting of slippers

Self-education

๐Ÿ“š Continue studies in seed-saving and heirloom gardening

๐Ÿ“š Continue using Michael Card's book on Luke as supplement to reading Luke

Fun Reading

๐Ÿ•ฎ Continue Irish Country Doctor series whose foul language I chalk up to local vernacular         and mostly ignore

๐Ÿ•ฎ Continue reading a Whittier poem a day

๐Ÿ•ฎ Listen to audio of The Last Battle by C.S.Lewis as I do mindless stuff

*~*~*~*~*

So, that ought to keep me occupied this week besides helping my oldest daughter get ready to travel to Poland to help care for Ukranian refugees. I'm both extremely proud of her and a little nervous about her safety. So I pray a lot and you're welcome to join me in praying for her.
