Having Another Go at Monday This & That

I think listing my goals here for last week was a good idea. I usually write them in my homemade planner, but having them where others can see them is sort of motivational.

The pretty pages come from Printables and Inspirations.

Now I just need to learn to make sure my planner goals and blog goals match up. Sometimes they didn't. Of course, sometimes life changes along the way and the planner is easier to re-do.

So, last week's goals:

Homemaking
๐Ÿ Type up 4 recipes per day Tuesday - Friday.  Didn't do even one all week. :(

๐Ÿ  Design living room bookshelves  Redid my plan for where books should be, so may not need these shelves

๐Ÿ  Experiment with dehydrating bananas  Husband loves them; I don't so much

๐Ÿ  On Saturday prepare veg tray and bake cookies for church shared lunch  Done; enjoyable fellowship

๐Ÿ  Continue indoor salad gardening till Wed, then shut down for vacation Done; will eat them this week

๐Ÿ  Find some gluten-free cookies/muffin recipes to try  Nope; probably not going gluten-free after reading "Grain of Truth" by Stephen Yafa

Crafting/Quilting
๐Ÿงต Alter daughter's pants  Not yet done

๐Ÿงต Get caught up on Everyday Embroidery  I think so; I did lots anyhow

๐Ÿงต Work on Scrappy Leader/Ender  Got it almost done; should be able to finish this week

๐Ÿงต Evaulate time required to make a dress for myself; possibly do it  Will probably have to wait

๐Ÿงต Choose a recipe for soapmaking and make sure I have the ingredients Huh! Forgot this was listed

Serving Others

๐Ÿ’— Pray more diligently about so many things  Getting there

๐Ÿ’—Write letters to A.L. and T.L.  Done and happily got to use my wax seals on envelopes

๐Ÿ’— Choose specific place(s) to send quilt tops (Jo's Country Junction has a list.) Didn't decide yet

Self-education
๐Ÿ“š Continue studies in seed-saving and heirloom gardening - The New Heirloom Garden - Ellen Ecker Ogden, Edible Landscaping - Rosalind Creasy, Saving Our Seeds - Bevin Cohen, The Heirloom Life Gardener - Jere & Emilee Gettle  Got some done

๐Ÿ“š Buy a copy of  No-Waste Kitchen Gardening - Katie Elzer-Peters  Decided not to

๐Ÿ“š Continue reading Reading the Bible with Rabbi Jesus - Lois Tverberg Continued this very good book

๐Ÿ“š Determine when to start indoor seedlings  Will start after vacation

This Week's Goals

Homemaking
๐Ÿ  Type up 4 recipes/day for 3 days of the week (making it real)

๐Ÿ  Dehydrate two batches of apples

๐Ÿ  Make sourdough bread on Wednesday instead of Friday; Prepare starter to take to son

๐Ÿ  Pack for "yondering" vacation

๐Ÿ  Make life simple for daughter who will be caring for house & cats while we're gone

Crafting/Sewing
๐Ÿงต Re-evaluate if I can make my dress since it is already cut out

๐Ÿงต Get daughter's pants altered already!

๐Ÿงต Finish scrappy leader/ender quilt

๐Ÿงต Continue Everyday Embroidery and decide if it's coming on trip

๐Ÿงต Continue knitting simple slippers; maybe take on trip

๐Ÿงต Mend apron

Serving Others
๐Ÿ’— Choose charity for quilt tops

๐Ÿ’— Write to Aunt P.

๐Ÿ’— Continue in prayer often

Self-education
๐Ÿ“š Continue studies in seed-saving and heirloom gardening - The New Heirloom Garden - Ellen Ecker Ogden, Edible Landscaping - Rosalind Creasy, Saving Our Seeds - Bevin Cohen, The Heirloom Life Gardener - Jere & Emilee Gettle

๐Ÿ“š Continue reading Reading the Bible with Rabbi Jesus - Lois Tverberg

๐Ÿ“š Continue using Michael Card's book on Luke as supplement to reading Luke

๐Ÿ“š Continue reading Grain of Truth by Stephen Yafa; research more on his claims

Fun Reading

๐Ÿ•ฎ Continue An Irish Country Doctor by Patrick Taylor (These books are still on trial for me because of some crudeness/strong language and sexual stuff hinted at, but not yet really blatent.)

๐Ÿ•ฎ Continue Whittier's Complete Poems, reading one a day

Now, to make sure I have these in my planner where I can see it all often.
