Sweet on You - Sweetheart Wallhanging

I am tickled pink to show the progress I've made on my sweetheart wallhanging.

The pattern, which I modified a little, is from a Today's Creative Homearts magazine Feb/Mar 2004.

That's quite some time ago!

Anarchy (aka Annie, Miss Prettypretty) helps show off the recently completed flimsy. I've had it started, as I've mentioned before, since Noah exited the ark, I'm sure.

Much handquilting has happened as my Lovey and I have helped Poirot solve a few murders. (You KNOW he needed us.)

I like to use cookie cutters as quilting templates, but debated whether or not I really wanted this musical note in the center. I finally decided to just do it and if I end up not liking it, I can pick it out.

I REALLY like how the dark green binding frames it so well.

I may not have finished it quite in time for Valentine's Day, but I can use it the rest of February and it will be ready for next year. And, love is appropriate any time of the year. 😊

  2. It's a beautiful quilt, no matter how old the pattern. Neither love (nor apparently pink!) nor good ideas ever go out of style. And you're right, love is year-round! Thanks for sharing this. Makes me wish I hadn't given away all my cookie cutters!
